BIBLIOGRAPHY
This is a personal selection of books the author has found most useful and/or enjoyable.
Most are concerned with Lord Byron,
but I have also included works on Madame de Stäel whose life crossed with Byron's in London and in Geneva.
She was one of the few major literary figures Byron encountered who was of the same social class.
Her work forms a bridge between the Enlightenment and the Romantics.
